Hi, I'm Matt Westervelt

This is my new "landing page". I've found myself somewhat spread out on the Internet lately, and have been feeling the need to get things a little more organized. The name of the domain may be something of a reach, but unix hacking, general geekery, and photography are what I work on, things I can relate to, and most importantly, have 3 letter domain ownership of. I'm hosting this on Google's AppEngine so I can add some fun bits of code here and there without touching my own CPUs, customize things to your google ID, and so on, but right now, everything is very simple.

I'm a Seattle based geek, living on Capitol Hill with my wife Brenna and two children, Mason and Lucy. I'm one of those people who becomes deeply interested in a wide variety of subjects, and have found myself working in a lot of different roles over the years. I am currently the owner of Metrix Communication LLC, a company that supplies outdoor WiFi equipment primarily to Community Wireless Networks (CWNs), Wireless ISP(WiSPs), researchers, experimenters and government. I am also a photographer, a blogger, and a reluctant software programmer.

Although I've got a lot of things going on, I'm nearly always willing to take on extra projects if the pay is right, so feel free to contact me with details of your project and we can work something out, either through my company if it's wifi/networking related, or as an independent if it's photography or code.
