For the past few years, I have been putting serious time and thought into my photography. I have continued my carry a camera every where I go practice, but I fell into a world of NAS and regardless of the "it's not the gear" sentiment I've heard over the years, my quality has definitely gone up.

Few know this, but I was a serious AV geek before I found computers. I had a darkroom in the 80s, and rolled and developed my own film. I studied video production in high school, and graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle Music and Video Business program. For many years, I had planned on producing video, but I fell into computers and networking instead. Recently, I have been picking the camera back up, scouring the Internet for technique and tips, getting some tearsheets (local and national) and building my portfolio and stock. I'm reluctant to do video because of the gear requirements, but if Nikon makes a camera that can meter my lenses (the d90 can't) and do video, I'm all over it. Until then, my only option for good video is something like a Letus Mini, and I just dont want to spend that on a better version of this.

I am currently interested in exploring more portrait and editorial photography, but I will work on nearly any project that is interesting.
